A day.

Luk 23:55 And the women who had come with Him from Galil followed after, and saw the tomb and how His body was laid.
Luk 23:56 And having returned, they prepared spices and perfumes. And>>they rested on the Sabbath according to the command. <<

Luk 24:1 And on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared,

By the way they handled Yahusha’s body well into the night.

Mar 15:42 And when evening had come, because it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,
Mar 15:43 Yosĕph of Ramathayim, a prominent council member, who was himself waiting for the reign of Elohim, came, boldly went in to Pilate and asked for the body of יהושע.
Mar 15:44 But Pilate wondered whether He was already dead, so summoning the captain, he asked him if He was already dead.
Mar 15:45 And when he learned this from the captain, he gave the body to Yosĕph.
Mar 15:46 And he, having bought fine linen, took Him down, and wrapped Him in the linen. And he laid Him in a tomb which had been hewn out of the rock, and rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.

Scriptures show us that evening came BEFORE He was taken off the stake… VIOLATION OF TORAH if the day began at evening… And the prepared His body.

Joh 19:40 Then they took the body of יהושע, and bound it in linen wrappings with the spices, as was the habit of the Yehuḏim for burial.

So the eastern “mindset” is to wrap Him up and toss Him in the tomb. They would have took hours of care with His body…

Mat 27:57 And when evening came, there came a rich man from Ramathayim, named Yosĕph, who himself had also become a taught one of יהושע.
Mat 27:58 He went to Pilate and asked for the body of יהושע. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given.
Mat 27:59 And having taken the body, Yosĕph wrapped it in clean linen,
Mat 27:60 and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock. And he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and went away.

TWO witnesses that evening came BEFORE His body was taken off the stake… That is a violation of Torah…

Return to Scriptural Time:

THE YEAR:

—Begins in the Spring in the month of Abib. (Exodus 12:2)

THE MONTH:

—Is based upon the lunar cycle. (Isaiah 66:23)

THE WEEK

—Working week is six days long, followed by the seventh day Sabbath. There are four consecutive weeks within each month, “From one new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, (Isaiah 66:23); from month to month. The weekly cycle is tied to nature and more specifically the Lunar cycle i.e it is not arbitrary and independent.

“DAY:

—It is the period of LIGHT when the sun is ruling. (Gen 1:5,16)

—It has only 12 sundial hours (John 11:9) and begins at sunrise and terminates at sunset. It is composed of two equal parts: Morning and Evening.

—Morning commences at sunrise and terminates at noon (midday). This period of time is also known as “the rising of the sun.”

—Evening commences at noon and terminates at sunset. This period of time is also known as “even” or “the going down of the sun.”

—At sunset, the NIGHT (darkness) begins…because the sun is no longer ruling (Gen 1:5). The night is composed of four watches:

1) First Watch / Evening Watch

2) Second Watch / Midnight Watch

3) Third Watch / Cock Crowing Watch

4) Fourth Watch / Morning or Daybreak Watch.

NIGHT WATCHES:

“Whether he comes in the second watch, or even in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves. (Luke 12:38)

“Therefore, be on the alert–for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning (Mark 13:35)

“Arise, cry aloud in the night At the beginning of the night watches; Pour out your heart like water Before the presence of Yahuah; Lift up your hands to Him For the life of your little ones Who are faint because of hunger at the head of every street.” (Lamentations 2:19)

At the morning watch, Yahuah looked down on the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud and brought the army of the Egyptians into confusion. (Exodus 14:24)

And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. (Matthew 14:25)

And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. (Matthew 14:25)

*There are no hours at night because an hour is a unit of time that is measured by the sun’s movement when it is casting its shadow upon a sundial through twelve hours of the day.

A CALENDAR DATE:

—Commences at sunrise and terminates at the next sunrise.

—It is numbered by its monthly date.

—It is composed of DAY (light) and NIGHT (darkness).

—It is sometimes also loosely referred to as day…e.g the 15th *DAY* of the 7th month.”

Appointed Worship Times (SEASONS – Gen 1:14, Ps 104:19)
