One thing I have am aware of is the Sabbath of YHWH. And when I read verses such as the one listed below, it just highlights to me how the Roman Calendar is wrong.
Why? The section below is speaking of the Day of Yahuwah. It is speaking of the time at the very end of days. It speaks of people worshipping Moloch and Chiun (Verse 26).
Who are these “gods” ? Take a look at these definitions:
Smith’s Bible Dictionary: Chiun
(a statue , perhaps of Saturn), an idol made by the Israelites in the wilderness
ATS Bible Dictionary: Chiun
The name of an idol worshipped by the Israelites in the desert, Am 5:26 Acts 7:43. It was most probably the planet Saturn, worshipped by eastern nations as an evil spirit to be propitiated by sacrifices.
Moloch, also spelled Molech, a deity to whom child sacrifices were made throughout the ancient Middle East. The name derives from combining the consonants of the Hebrew melech (“king”) with the vowels of boshet (“shame”), the latter often being used in the Old Testament as a variant name for the popular god Baal (“Lord”).
The Canaanites worshiped Baal as the sun god and as the storm god—he is usually depicted holding a lightning bolt—who defeated enemies and produced crops.
So we have Saturn and the Sun. Saturns day and Suns day. And this is what the Bible tells us, yet no one will listen. I am not surprised however.
The other item is points out is in verse 21, where Yahuwah says he “hates the feast days and the solemn assemblies of the people. Why would he hate them unless they were not honouring Him?? Think for a moment. If they are not honouring Him, who are they honouring? What Feast days do we have today? Christmas? Easter?
Are these feasts which are in scripture? No. They are not. The feasts which are in scripture are all listed in Leviticus 23. The first feast is the Sabbath. The other feasts are Passover, Unleavened bread, First Fruits, Feast of Weeks, Feast of trumpets, Day of atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles. Bit how many do they teach today? Some will say the Sabbath. Well that is not what verse 26 is talking about.
It’s time to get back to His word and stop listening to “teachers” who tell what you want to hear – which are fables.
2 Timothy 4:3-4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
Here are the verses which cover the Day of Yahuwah. Read it. Study it. Learn from it. His word is filled with many gems, just waiting for you to perceive them.
The Day of the Lord
16 Therefore the Lord, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus;
Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.
17 And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the Lord.
18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.
19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.
22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.
23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
25 Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?
26 But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the Lord, whose name is The God of hosts.
